I used to put my daughter to bed every night by singing to her and rocking her on my shoulder. She's 2 now, and it's been a year since putting her to bed was easy. Yeah, that morning hug was the best. That's mostly gone now too. Now, I get it mostly when I've been gone and I walk through the door. And when she gets hurt, which I never hope for, but which has its silver lining. Anway, enjoying looking through your blog. Ah, man, I miss those days.
