I am very impressed. When I heard about this, I thought you would totally get your ass handed to you. I am happy to say that you didn’t! My hubby was very impressed with your use of technology and the I think the brick pattern was awesome! I do have to vote for Megan’s though. I believe her colors are better and her use of characters great. I do appreciate the fact that you used music and that it was 4 minutes long though. Also loved the fact that they just started handing you crap at the store when you told them that you wanted to work with fondant. Only one problem with this whole thing as I see it. Your kids are going to expect much more on their birthdays if you do a cake like this for a contest! Much love. Hope it was tasty.

Matthew, of course you get my vote. What are you doing in June? After you practice on your kids maybe you could make a cake for your nephew Lance. Truthfully, I am WAY impressed.

I am a little torn on this one. On one hand, I think I should go with the cake I like the best. On the other, I feel like I should be all nice and go with the person who I have known the longest. Or as his SIL said, the pity vote. Ahem. Sorry Matthew.

Megan, I think your cake looks better. Colors are brighter, cake looks a bit more Mario-ish. You both did great though. A zillion times better than I could have done.

I just watched your video with my Mario-obsessed 6yo and he LOVED it. He would like to tell you:

“I like the video because I like the cake you made. I like how you put the green mushroom on it. I like how you put your Ipod on it and showed us the video game.”
