8 months later and I am STILL struggling with poopy accidents from my soon-to-be 3 year old daughter. Glad to read about the "train in one day" method. My daughter has been aware, well versed, 85% motivated, and the like for over eight months. M&Ms, lots of praise, special treats, cheers, more and more positive reinforcement. Still, we struggle. I can take her anywhere, she never has an accident, rarely an accident at daycare... but at home, poop in the pants. 85% of the time. This equals a Mommy who needs Prozac or Ativan. :) My son is 9 months old, I am already thinking of waiting to even bring out the potty seat until he turns three and do the whole "train in one day" method. Keep me posted on how it goes. And good luck to you!!!

I am so very jelaous! I'd planned to potty train this 4th of July weekend too, but the husband had the idea that "the daycare will take care of that" and that was that. Of course I know that is not at all how it works. She only spends 3 hours a day 3 days a week there. What is he thinking? Anyway... he does want to use the little seat for the big potty instead of a potty chair.

Congratulations and hats off to you both!

Congrats! I only have one and it took us 4 days to use the Potty Training in One Day method! ha! Of course, he was just a few months over 2 years...
And yes... just wait 'til you teach The Monk how to pee standing up - that's fun!
