I am happy to know I am not in this alone. This past week they have been testing my last nerve. One gave me the look as if to say “yeah – ok mom, whatever” and I could have just screamed! I had a flash of what I have to look forward to in 10 years as they approach the teenage years.

We will survive this altogether!

I understand. My husband and I joke (well, USUALLY we’re joking) about taking them back to the hospital for a refund.

And Z has started to demand that she wear her brother’s Lightning McQueen pjs. *sigh* Give me strength.

It wasn’t until I had children that I understood why hamsters often eat their young.

We have two identical stools in the bathroom for Peanut & The Champ so they wont fight over them. Problem now is they fight because they both want to brush their teeth while standing on the stool to the right.

Oh and we don’t have “Cars” or “Princess” issues, but we are looking for a Dora and Diego 12-Step program.

I feel your pain and I am sorry to say it only gets more difficult. We are learning to not ask the boys what they want to do, eat, watch, etc because they NEVER agree and then it’s a fight. They pick opposite choices on purpose now just to make things more “fun”. That’s with two boys, I can’t even imagine what happens with boy/girl tempers.

What is it with these kids and these Disney pajamas? I change the kids’ jammies after every bath – and it has been this way their whole lives (barring incidents involving food, excrement, or other bodily fluids), and yet Ane finds it in her to be absolutely HORRIFIED that I am going to put her adored pink Princess nightie in the wash just because it “might” be dirty. I am a cruel, cruel mother – oh, and did I mention that she’s got 2 other sets of Princess pajamas to wear? Yeah, I am so very mean.
