It's amazing how fun an umbrella can be for a child. You're right, we should find the joy in everyday things.

Thanks for the reminder to slow down and appreciate the little things. Sometimes, with all the rushing around of everyday life, I forget how precious moments like that can be!

I'm with them - I love the rain and I only wish I could get my 2 1/2 year old to love it too. She loves her 'brella and duckie coat much more than actually dancing in the rain. Me? I'm all about a nice long walk in the rain, then going home for a warm cup of hot chocolate.

Good for you for celebrating the little things. :)

Good for you! That's great that you took the time to enjoy it with your kids. We get equal amounts of sun, rain, snow, cold and hot weather up here. So my kids are already immune to the awesomeness of nature.

Every winter Alec and I look for a big puddle, then spend the next 10 minutes stomping and running through it. The best part is going home, changing in sweats, and having a big cup of hot chocolate!

Amen (to your lesson learned) and GOOD FOR YOU!! We did that the other day with our girls (only ours can't dance in the rain on their own just yet, so we danced with them in our arms). What an amazing thing it is to see the joy and wonder on their little faces and listen to their little voices sing out "AGUA"!!

Your kids react to rain the way mine react to sun. This is the same old Seattle vs. San Diego thing again, isn't it?
