Or grow your pinky fingernail long. You know, a cocaine nail. If you're careful, it does the trick.

We, too, use the q-tips. My mom passed that tip on to me and it works like a charm. Just make sure you put them in the arm and leg restraints before you do it! :)

I am having a serious attack of grandmotheritis. Other grandmothers have reported that this is a chronic illness and there is no known cure, alas, only treatments. The treatments require 48 hours or longer in close proximity to grandchildren who live more than an hours drive from home. Once the treatment is completed you can go on for another two months. They say I can go on like this for years! In the interim perhaps if you post some new pics of Bri and JT I can go on for few more weeks.

have you ever noticed that a persons nostril size is directly proportionate to their finger size? Example... I once saw this man with incredibly HUGE nostrils. I looked down at his hands, and the things weren't fingers... they were sausages!!! My husband and I have experimented with this... My finger fits up his nose, but there's room to give, his finger, however, doesn't fit in my nose. Kinda gross.. but hey, sometimes when you're newleyweds and have had a wee bit much to drink, and there's nothing to do... you get bored :)

I want a force field that will let my four older children into the bathroom when they need to go, but keep my 2 year old out or maybe just over the toilet... let in what is supposed to go in and keep out the toothbrushes (I've bought 4 in the last few months as replacements,) toys, and little hands. Also, the same kind of technology on my cabinets so only adults and children 8 and up can open them. (If I have to pick up all those chicken bullion cubes one more time...)

My child sees the booger-sucker thing and absolutley FREAKS out...Always has too. So I just have to let him suffer with his boogers. As for the changing table...Distraction works about 50% of the time. I could really use thoseretraints, the clothes that grow and extra arms and whatnot. WHen you figure out how to get it all, Please pass it on to the rest of us !

I've got nothing, but if someone has any good ideas, please let me know.

The booger picker thing has been plaguing me ever since they outgrew the big blue bulbs.

I feel your pain...

Q-Tips can be of some help when the bulb syringe is useless - except that you can't dig too deep.

The key to keeping a baby still during a diaper change is distraction. Try handing the changee a toy or board book while on the changing table, so that hopefully by the time they think of squirming away, you're already done.

Can't help you on anything else, though - we're on Standard time, so we've already got our extra hour for the year, and I already asked God for an extra pair of arms and got turned down, though I did get super-sonic hearing and eyes in the back of my head.

As for the clothes... I thought that Grandmother had all of that under control! Still, it's sad when they outgrow something especially cute. I find that there is always something else cute in the yet-to-grow-into pile, though. :)
