I remember having similar issues with my babies. At least two or three times I made the mistake of watching an "important" game with a sleeping baby in my arms, only to jump up off the couch when something good happens. This would then lead to a crying baby, then a scolding wife. Now, though, my two older kids are only amused by my TV antics. My daughter will ask me why I talk to the TV, since it can't really hear me, and my son will mimic my yells and fist pumps. My wife? She just rolls her eyes.

You also shouldn't hire a crew to mow your lawn (because it's the first day of football, and you're lazy), then allow said crew to arrive and begin to mow said lawn smack dab in the middle of naptime.

I head yah. I did that during a Sox game early on. Ortiz hits a home run, I yell, Hayes screams. Good times. Good news is, it gets better. Hayes now thinks it funny when I yell. Actaully, I'm not sure that's a good thing.

Husband did that when Tod-lar was an infant. Except, not only did it scare the crap out of Tod-lar, it scared the crap out of me. Husband is extremely mild-mannered, you see.

Learned that lesson the hard way with my daughter watching hockey. Made the poor kid cry many times until I learned to tone down my cheering. Took her to a resturant with us to watch the final game of the 2001 Stanly Cup playoffs. The place exploded after the first goal - and so did she. Had to take he home.

Oh, poor Mary! Being from Canada I guess you wouldn't know, would you?

Fantasy football is where a bunch of football crazed fans get together and create their own teams using players from the National Football League. We hold a draft before the season begins. Our teams gain points based on how the players we drafted did that day.

Personally it makes watching football more fun.

When my son was a baby, his dad took us to the local sports bar/grill to watch the Rams play. To say it was loud would be an understatement. The baby freaked out! Quite an experience...
